Ice Cream Days

Greetings and welcome to Momma Gert's Place.

Has it not been a hot summer? Wow! A dear friend of the family passed this recipe on to me and I felt that it would be most appropriate. I hope it helps you keep cool this month.

Malisa Greer Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream

  • 5 1/2 oz package vanilla instant pudding
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 13 oz. can evaporated milk
  • 2 cups mashed fresh strawberries
Combine pudding mix and sugar in a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients stirring well. Pour mixture in freezer can of one gallon hand turned or electric freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's instruction. Let ripen at least one hour.
  • Yields: 1 gallon
  • Preparation Time: 1 hour and 15 minutes
