Welcome to the July issue of Seasoned Cooking. This month, you can get ideas and recipes from around the globe without leaving your home! Our international theme is apparent once you take a glance at articles featuring cuisine from places such as China and the Mediterranean. Let's begin our issue tour...

We start out our journey with this month's cover story on authentic Chinese cuisine. Chris Schaefer leads us on an adventure by giving a firsthand look at the delights (and no-so-delights) he experienced on his recent trip to the orient. Our international focus continues with a Mediterranean Stir-Fry brought to us by the Rush Hour column. Featuring a tempting combination of shrimp, fresh herbs and crunchy veggies, it's sure to please. Moving onward, we get an invitation to Canada Day celebrations from Rossana S. Tarantini. She shows her patriotic side by firing up the grill and encouraging everyone to join in! Finally, we would be missing a lot if we didn't include the good 'ol United States in our tour. Victoria's Vegetarian Victuals gives us an unusual view of the vegetarian cuisine enjoyed by the Founding Fathers. Get a taste of everything from Cucumber Sauce to Johnny Cake!

Since July is a month known for its celebrations, we're also going out of our way to make sure you are prepared for all of those parties. Phil's International Flair reminds us that one of the best ways to party is to take a group out fishing and make sure you enjoy your fresh catch with one of the many tasty recipes offered in this month's column. However, before you head out for that day in the sun, read words of wisdom from Health & Fitness about how to protect yourself from sunburn and cancer. Of course, you might just want to sleep in late and offer your guests a variety of berry muffins at your next brunch. Visit Rise 'n Shine to get the scoop on these sweet treats. Speaking of sweet, Momma Gert's Place reminisces about the good 'ol days and presents a Chess Pie recipe filled with memories. And while you're at it, serve all of these goodies on your best china! That's right, the message in this month's Home Style is all about enjoying your "Sunday best" everyday of the week!

Speaking of enjoying the finer things in life, I think I'm going to enjoy some creamy ice cream in one of my antique china bowls while I browse through the articles mentioned above and the rest of this month's issue. Won't you join me? Enjoy and here's to a seasoned lifestyle!
